Prayer
God of all,
Like the tiny mustard seed, grow us good roots.
Dig down into our souls; bore into our hearts and minds.
Grow us into so large a plant that all of our actions,
all of our ideas, all our loves, our selves nestle and shelter in your branches.
We ask this prayer through Jesus, our Teacher and Lord.
Amen
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
1. We are very excited about our upcoming retreat for grades 1 to 8 at St. Martyr’s Shrine next week, on June 4, done in partnership with the leadership team and the chaplain from Patrick Fogarty. Be sure to register on School Days ASAP!
2. Next year’s school calendar is now available on the board’s website. You can also access it here by clicking on this link.
3. Human Trafficking/Exploitation
Helpful resource to guide parents/adults when speaking with youth preventatively or reactively about exploitation. (This is good and helpful follow up if you went to the Human Trafficking presentation - good practical advice).
A Resource Guide for Families: Addressing Self/Peer Exploitation
If you missed the presentation and are interested in seeing it,there will be another showing:
Thursday, May 30, 2019 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the General Meeting Room, St. Joseph’s Catholic High School. If you plan on attending, parents are asked to complete the registration form.
4. You are invited to complete our Parent Climate Survey. At the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board, we are committed to working together to create learning environments where everyone feels safe, included and valued as members of our education community. The climate survey is focused on factors such as engagement, relationships, spirituality, health, safety, inclusion, etc., that impact a positive climate where all members of the community can thrive.
Please take approximately 10 minutes of your time to help us find out what strengths we have as an education community and what opportunities we can work on together to improve. This survey is voluntary, however your thoughts, feelings and opinions are important to us. This survey is anonymous and all responses will be combined for reporting.
This survey will be available until Friday, May 31, 2019.
